Ganesh Chaturthi is an important and widely celebrated Hindu festival in India. This year, due to the ongoing COVID19 pandemic, celebrations of the 10-day festival are limited. The restrictions on social gatherings do not allow people to congregate around temples or 'Ganeshotsav pandals' to offer prayers to Lord Ganesha. Immersing idols of the Lord in water bodies is also restricted on the tenth day visarjan. Despite the inability for public worship this time around, Ganesh Mahotsav can still be enjoyed safely at home.
